Zama Partners with Hypernative to Extend Compliance by Design with Continuous Onchain Monitoring

Confidential finance needs more than encryption. It needs operational controls institutions can trust.

Last month, Zama announced the partnership with Elliptic to bring wallet-level risk screening for the Zama app and future confidential financial products. 

Today, Zama is partnering with Hypernative to extend its compliance-by-design architecture with continuous onchain monitoring.

Zama deployed Hypernative’s Onchain Monitoring & Automated Response platform across the Zama confidential wrappers, host contract deployments and DeFi protocols. This integration adds real-time monitoring and business logic specific alerting to the Zama Protocol, giving operators continuous visibility into protocol activity while preserving the confidentiality of assets and transactions.

As part of the partnership, Hypernative’s Transaction Guard will also integrate confidential token support, enabling transaction simulation before execution for Zama and future integration partners.

Compliance is foundational to making confidential finance the default for institutional activity on public blockchains. This partnership strengthens that foundation by extending the Zama Protocol’s Compliance by Design architecture with new operational capabilities.

Building the compliance foundation for confidential onchain finance

Institutions require more than confidentiality. They require operational controls that align with existing governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks.

Rather than relying on a single control, the protocol combines complementary capabilities that address different operational requirements across the lifecycle of confidential assets.

• At the protocol level, the Access Control List (ACL) allows for selective disclosure for confidential assets to authorized parties while preserving confidentiality on public chains.
• Before funds enter the protocol, Elliptic performs wallet-level KYT and sanctions screening.
• After deployment, Hypernative provides continuous monitoring, giving operators real-time visibility into protocol activity as assets move through the system.

Together, these capabilities enable institutions to issue, trade, and manage confidential assets on public blockchains with both confidentiality and compliance.
